What is the latest in hospitality information technology research and education? Find out at the iHITA 2011 Conference. The International Hospitality Information Technology Association (iHITA) is a global association of educators and practitioners whose mission is to advance the use of information technology in the hospitality industry through education and research. The iHITA conference is a successful forum for bringing together key players (such as educators, vendors, researchers, and policy makers) of hospitality information technology with the goal of improving both the quality of education and the technology itself. The conference will include refereed and invited presentations on the latest research studies and innovative IT/IS solutions.

Join Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and Center for Hospitality Research for a breakfast panel, Emerging Mobile and Social Media Innovations: Implications for the Hospitality Industry, during HITEC on Wednesday, June 22nd from 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. Panelists include Professor Rohit Verma, Cornell School of Hotel Administration; Shane O’Flaherty, president and CEO, Forbes Travel Guide; and Robert Dawson, VP, Internet Marketing & Web Development Services, Sabre Hospitality Solutions. The panelists, representing various hospitality perspectives, will present and discuss the latest research and innovations in mobile technology and social media.
