President’s CornerBy Joseph Romano, CHAE
Ladies and Gentlemen: This is my final letter to the membership as your president, and as such; I wish to use this as a vehicle to express my gratitude. So here we go… I can’t help but reflect on the successes this chapter has attained. I have been blessed with a team of exceptional people and ample resources to get us through the many events the Mid-Florida Chapter has been involved with. I am leaving you with outstanding leaders who have the ability and the desire to take our chapter to great places. I would like to say “Thank You” to the entire Board, Officers, Committees and Committee members for their support over the past 12 month. I encourage you to continue to be involved and help share your vision. It’s the relationships we form that keep our industry like one big family and our chapter so strong. We need to identify the future leaders of HFTP by looking inwards to our Clubs, Hotels and IT departments. By identifying those persons, they too can benefit from membership as well as us benefit from their participation. Our pride in the chapter is evident. I would personally like to thank and acknowledge Bill Parrish who has continued to be involved on the board two years following his presidency. Bill brings a lot to the table and has an untiring commitment to providing excellence to the chapter and HFTP. Randall Rickmann, your current Chairman of the Board, brought the Golf Event to life two years ago and this tournament is quickly becoming a must attend event! Randall put his personal “touch of class” to this event and our chapter will benefit for years to come by making this event a part of Central Florida’s annual calendars must do! I would like to thank you for allowing me the opportunity to serve as president again. I truly enjoy being involved in HFTP and the Mid-Florida Chapter. This chapter is my home chapter, and the one I first belonged to in the mid-1980’s. I am passionate about trying to raise the level of benefits and making your membership experience meaningful. I hope I have done that for you. With Warm Regards, Joe Romano, CHAE HFTP Mid-Florida Chapter President
