Onity, one of the world’s leading providers of electronic locking solutions, is part of UTC Fire & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).
ASFONA’s mandate is to interact with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc.® (NYSE:HOT) in the development of brand policies, standards, technology and all other issues impacting its members businesses. In this capacity, each Honorary Board Member is invited to join together with the Board of Directors and other invited hotel company participants at strategic meetings held in North America throughout the year.
“With membership offered by invitation only, Associate membership in ASFONA is strictly limited,” stated John Shingler, president of ASFONA. “This exclusivity ensures our membership comprises a small, select group of companies qualified as highly-regarded providers of products or services to the hospitality industry.”
Commenting on Daniel Foxworth’s appointment as a Honorary Board Member, Shingler stated, “Dialogue with Daniel just reinforces the importance of guest room security and the incredible advances in technology that have been made recently in setting the standard for securing guest room doors electronically and how this technology can be interlinked with energy management systems.”
