Each day, new recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the United States are limiting social interaction in favor of social distancing. The size of crowds you should avoid gets smaller and smaller; restaurants, bars, schools and libraries are closing their doors; and major U.S. cities like San Francisco, California have called for all residents to "shelter in place."
As we all work together through isolation to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, there is one form of interaction that remains untethered by the virus: the Internet. We live in a world of technology, and we can use it during this time to our advantage.
For decades, HFTP has served as the spokes group for the finance and technology segments of the hospitality industry. The association has placed a strong, continued focus on developing the tools and resources to help hospitality financial and technology professionals excel in their workplace and advance their careers.
So, while you work from home and practice responsible social distancing, take advantage of that extra time you save from not commuting, shopping and eating out by exploring the many channels of industry news, research and information that HFTP has to offer.
