St. Mary's Food Bank - Community Event

One of our 2016 chapter goals is to participate in a community event.  Members are welcome to join us at St. Mary's Food Bank on Nov 12 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. to donate their time - or you will have an opportunity to donate funds to the Save the Family organization in Scottsdale. 

Next Saturday 11/12 we will be assisting St. Mary's Food Bank to pack and sort food for the less fortunate.  Below are simple directions showing how to join our group.  The process is simple and everything you need to know about what to wear and where to go is provided.

Registration Information

We’re excited to welcome Hospitality Finance and Technology Professionals to St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance. Volunteers like you make it possible for the Food Bank to provide meals across Arizona to thousands of individuals each day.

We have created a special volunteer opportunity for your group and an invitation code for each individual to register for the event through our volunteer portal. Minimum age to volunteer is 8 years old with an adult.

The individual registration process takes less than five minutes and enables participants to simply check in when they arrive. It also enables the Food Bank to acknowledge your organization’s contribution of time and talent to alleviate hunger.

REGISTRATION PROCESS:

Visit http://volunteer.firstfoodbank.org

Scroll down until you see the INVITATION CODE BOX on the right hand side.

Enter your group INVITATION CODE (noted above) and click ‘Search

You will see your volunteer opportunity name in orange letters – click on the name

Scroll down, select the date, click on SIGN UP

You’ll be instructed to LOGIN using an existing account or REGISTER by creating a new account.

Once you are logged in, you will see a SUCCESS! notification

You will receive a confirmation e-mail from St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance

DRESS CODE:

The comfort and safety of our volunteers is important. Due to health codes and for safety reasons, a strict volunteer dress code is in effect.

Volunteers MUST wear:

Closed-toe shoes (sneakers suggested).

All shirts must have sleeves (No tank tops, spaghetti straps, sleeveless, midriff or low-cut tops)

Pants, jeans, or workout attire preferred.  Shorts are okay at a respectable length. (Must be no shorter than 7” above the knee)

PARKING:

VOLUNTEER PARKING IS LIMITED. PLEASE CARPOOL AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE! OVERFLOW PARKING IS AVAILABLE AT 3020 W. WINDSOR AVE. (SEE PARKING MAP ATTACHED)

Please leave valuables, purses or backpacks in your vehicle for your safety and security.  St. Mary’s Food Bank is not responsible for lost and/or stolen items brought into our facilities.
