The recently released 12th Revised Edition provides all interested parties with greater exposure to the revenues and expenses that drive profitability. Updated by the Global Finance Committee (GFC), an independent group of global financial leaders, members are leading a series of webinars to discuss significant changes from the 11th to the 12th Revised edition.
In this webinar, an overview of the new Energy, Water, and Waste (EWW) – Schedule 9 is presented. The addition of this schedule promotes environmental benchmarking in the lodging industry and helps hotels report to customers, investors, and regulators on their sustainability initiatives. This schedule was achieved by reclassifying waste expenses from the Property Operations and Maintenance Schedule to EWW, then expanding it with more detailed accounts and descriptions. Attend this webinar for a primer of this important new schedule.
Learning Objectives:
Understand the impetus behind this change and the importance for tracking a hotel’s sustainability efforts.
Review the new Energy, Waste, and Water accounts and the line items under each.
Learn how to calculate the corresponding cost and consumption metrics.
