How do I earn the Certified Hospitality Technology Professional (CHTP) designation?
You must pass the CHTP Exam to earn the designation. You must complete the application process and include all required materials in order to take the exam.
How do I apply to take the CHTP exam?
The CHTP application is available for download and please review the policy and procedures to learn more detailed information on the application process and the requirements necessary to sit for the exam.
Once I have applied, where do I take the exam?
The CHTP exams are available at all HFTP conferences and events. In addition, exams can be taken online privately under the supervision of a proctor.
What does the exam cover?

How much does the CHTP certification cost?
Pricing is based on HFTP membership. HFTP members receive a discounted exam rate via the application process. Please see the current application for the current exam rates. In the event you need to retake the exam(s), the retake fees are listed in the Policy and Procedures document. More
Once I have earned the CHTP designation, How do I maintain it?
Professionals who have the CHTP designation must maintain 60 Continuing Education Points over the course of two years. HFTP offers continuing education at all its conferences and events as well as HFTP chapter events and HFTP online education. Visit the Events section for a detailed listing of upcoming opportunities.
