Boyd is the vice president of digital and IT at Yotel Ltd, the innovative hotel start-up in the new “affordable luxury” sector. He has 20 years of experience in the airline world and the digital media sector. Fergus has been nominated into the CIO 100 list for 2016 and 2017. Prior to YOTEL, Fergus headed up eBusiness for Virgin Atlantic, and was responsible for sales optimisation on the market leading and award winning www.virginatlantic.com web site which generated over £300m pa, and for the mobile channel, live chat, web analytics, voice of the customer and the global affiliate programme. Fergus held senior roles in British Airways and headed up projects in BA’s Brands & Product Development department who created the market changing flat beds in business class. He also was one of the founding members of “eBA”, BA’s dotcom startup in 2000 which later transformed into BA.com which now turns over £2B pa.
Lapithus Hotel Management
Kettern is director of information technology at Lapithus Hotel Management GmbH as well as a member of the HITEC Amsterdam Advisory Council. At LHM he is responsible for all aspects of information technology at hotel and corporate level. He is also responsible for all guest-facing technologies at hotels and all back-of-house systems. Kettern looks after the corporate networks including their security. Most of his time is spent integrating newly acquired hotels into the Lapithus IT infrastructure. He also serves at the EAME IT Sub Committee of the IHG Owners Association.

Simpson is SVP of global business technology at Protel Hotelsoftware. As former CEO of a successful Australian ITC Integration and Consulting company, Simpson spent 16 years with Micros in various technical roles, the last being SVP of Global Business Technology. He launched MICROS hosting initiatives in 2003 and saw the EMEA Cloud Services grow from non-existent to $98mil in 2015. Micros was acquired by Oracle in June 2014 and Simpson left Oracle in June 2015 to work as an Independent business technology consultant for various hospitality software, venture capital and investment companies. In January 2017, he joined Protel Hotelsoftware to lead their protel I/O project. Simpson is currently working with Protel developers to build an Enterprise Hospitality Framework based on ESB technology, that will provide tight integration of core property operations, distribution, guest experience, enterprise data and enhanced retailin.

Van Gool is business development manager of travel and leisure EMEA at Worldpay. After graduating from Les Roches in Switzerland with a degree in Hotel Management, he worked in several high profile hotel chains in London. He then moved into commercial positions across different industries before joining Worldpay in their Amsterdam office five years ago. Became an expert in the field of online payments for the travel sector, with vast knowledge and experience of the hotel industry. Van Gool is dedicated to supporting hotels with the right payment solutions.
Lyle Worthington, CHTP

Worthington is CIO at The Student Hotel in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and is currently serving as the 2016-2017 HFTP Global President. Previously, Worthington was a respected hospitality technology consultant who specialized in project management, strategic planning, decision making, critical thinking and people management. He is the concept originator for HFTP's successful hospitality technology pitch competition, Entrepreneur 20X. He is a regular contributor to Hospitality Upgrade, Hotel Yearbook, HFTP Connect and The Bottomline. Worthingon also regularly speaks at HFTP and hospitality industry events on a variety of topics.

Wolfe joined HFTP in March 1991 as the association's director of education. He became executive vice president/CEO of HFTP in 1994, and at that time was one of the youngest association CEO's in North America. As HFTP’s CEO, Wolfe oversees the association’s operations, as well as represents the association worldwide at industry events, on industry boards and committees and via the news media.
