Deciding the right IT strategy for your hotels is just the first step... once you have it, then you need to figure out who pays for it and how!

In this education session, we are bringing together experts from technology, finance, brands and ownership to talk through the challenges of figuring out the right IT Strategy and the different methods of financing these plans. 

Deciding the right technology strategy for your hotels is a great step. As technology changes so do the various methods of acquisition. With the onset of cloud based computing, mobile technologies, and Software as a Service (SaaS) becoming more common place as a delivery model, there is a shift in expense recognition from capital to operating.  No one option is ideal in every situation as capital expenditures may be required by some strategies affecting balance sheet metrics while choosing an operating strategy may cause issue with margins that may affect ownerships perception of the property value.  

This session will explore the various IT strategies and alternatives in funding and discuss which best align with the business’s overall strategy as well as how they are being presented from a purchase perspective (I.e. Capital investment or SaaS models).  The panelists will dive deep into the the different offering of vendors and the demands that brand of management decisions place on a property from a financial perspective.
