Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) and Vingcard have come together to host a webinar on keycard and general credential technology titled “Pushing the Limits in Hotel Security: Redefining Guest Keycard Safety and Convenience” on May 8, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. U.S. Central Time. HFTP is hosting this complimentary webinar as a service to hospitality professionals, disseminating the most current security practices and measures, helping to safeguard trust and integrity in the industry. Registration for this session is now open.
The session will be led by Tanja Leimenstoll, senior global marketing manager, MIFARE Access Management for NXP Semiconductors and Richard Eastburn, Vingcard’s senior director and head of project management. Both speakers bring broad experience in smart cards and efficient system deployment to this session, which will demonstrate which credential technologies are obsolete, posing a risk to hoteliers, their staff and guests and how recent advancements have created data encryption protocols that are almost impossible to break and are able to integrate with a property’s existing infrastructure.
Timely webinars are not just discussions; they're strategic channels for shaping the future of hospitality technology,
said HFTP CEO Frank Wolfe, CAE. In the digital landscape, relevance is the currency of engagement and our ability to anticipate and address major industry issues is the cornerstone of HFTP’s thought leadership.
Beyond the digital classroom, HFTP will have multiple exhibitors on to the HITEC Charlotte exhibit hall floor showcasing credential security solutions and cybersecurity-focused educational sessions from industry experts this June. View the HITEC 2024 schedule and full list of exhibitors here.
The type of security threats that properties face continues to evolve at a faster rate, so it is essential for industry businesses to be able to stay informed on how they can sidestep the risks using new and innovative approaches to technology,
commented Richard Eastburn. During this webinar and at HITEC, we look forward to sharing insights into how hoteliers can continue to live up to their promise of providing a safe environment while also creating a seamless, convenient and always enjoyable stay experience that ensures increased guest loyalty.
