HFTP Charters New Student Chapters: Howard University and RMIT University Vietnam

HFTP is proud to announce the official charters of the Howard University and the RMIT University – Vietnam student chapters.

These new student chapters will meet on a regular basis and provide regional education, leadership, career development and networking opportunities to their respective students pursuing education in hospitality finance and technology.

The Bachelor of Tourism and Hospitality Management program at RMIT University provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the history and evolution of the international tourism and hospitality industries. The program focuses on the Vietnamese context through localized content and practical experience. With a heavy connection to industry-leading companies, students gain practical skills through industry-led projects, company-site visits and high-level guest lecturers.

“We believe that by having the first HFTP student chapter in Vietnam and the region, our THM students at RMIT University will gain a better appreciation and embrace the disciplines of data analytics, financial and technology management — key drivers of the hospitality industry — into their studies and professional pursuits. The Marriott-Sorenson Center for Hospitality Leadership at Howard University is spearheaded by industry experts, who lead workshops and lectures at the highest levels of proficiency. Students actively participate in hands-on activities such as shadowing executives in suites and engaging in practical simulations. Throughout their academic journey, students have the opportunity to undertake a range of internships that provide diverse perspectives on the industry, starting from their freshman year through to senior year.

HFTP’s student chapters help members expand their network, increase their educational opportunities and build strong face-to-face connections with peers before graduation.
