The HFTP Americas Research Center, in conjunction with HFTP, produces a biennial compensation and benefits survey. This report is an invaluable resource for hospitality managers to determine pay, rewards and benefits for their employees and themselves. The 2024 report survey is now available; the deadline to respond is August 30, 2024.
The HFTP Foundation oversees the HFTP Research Center, which commissions research in the Americas and the Middle East. These research initiatives study a broad range of hospitality and travel topics and are designed to help hospitality professionals improve their work and move the industry forward.
The HFTP Middle East Research Center partners with the Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management in Dubai, UAE by providing a scholarship to select students in exchange for regular research on unique hospitality finance and technology special topics and current events. These research scholars also assist with data analysis on a major research project each year, such as the biennial Compensation and Benefits Survey Report.
This project is sponsored each academic semester by the HFTP Foundation and held for students participating in the Master of Science in Global Hospitality Business, a partnership between the Conrad N. Hilton College of Global Hospitality Leadership at the University of Houston, the School of Hotel and Tourism Management at Hong Kong Polytechnic University and EHL. Each semester, participating students are asked to focus on a critical hospitality industry topic and submit their study as a blog article. Upon completion, a group of judges from HFTP, including industry experts and leaders, review and vote for the competition winners.
